Blessing - 16th October 2021

As we all know, the last couple of years have been incredibly challenging. The constantly changing rules with regard to the COVID pandemic has wreaked havoc on the world, and the experience was no different for Gearies.

With strict rules imposed on who was allowed into the school and under what conditions, as well as social distancing and cleaning rituals, it was a miracle that we managed to keep the school going, let alone continue to provide the standard of education to which our parents have become accustomed.

It seemed fitting, then, that we invited Father Stylianos Savva to the school to perform an 'Ayiasmos' (blessing), which was enjoyed and appreciated by all whom were present.

We sincerely hope that this marks the end of the obstacles we have faced of late and the beginning of a new phase of growth, success and, most importantly safety, for Gearies and the wider community.
