'No Day' celebration - 6th November 2021

Wow, what a day!

The students of Gearies put on a stellar performance as we belatedly celebrated 'No / Oxi Day' (Επέτειος του Όχι). The parents were entertained with songs, dances and poems from the nursery class right up to the GCSE year to commemorate the anniversary of 28th October 1940, being the day of the Greek resistance, which has historically been seen as a pivotal moment in World War II.

The day was enlightening and entertaining for students and parents alike, with some really impressive showings from all involved.

The 'show' was followed by a bake sale, with parents donating cakes (and some savoury treats!) to be sold to raise money for the school. The event was a huge success, and we look forward to holding many more!
